The community-focused music festival takes place over three days in the beautiful surrounds of Bridgetown, with three ticketed venues and many more free venues sharing the sounds of many talented musicians and entertainers.
The Blues at Bridgetown Festival team are excited to announce the first round of artists. They include Diesel, Harts, Jeff Lang, Bret Mosley, Backsliders, Minnie Marks, The Swamp Stompers, Carus Thompson and Datura4.
This year's line up has been designed to offer something for everyone, spanning decades and showcasing emerging to well-established artists.
Australian stalwart Diesel has created his own unique sound by seamlessly blending a range of genres and has been entertaining audiences for nearly 30 years, with over 35 singles, 13 albums, six ARIA awards and record sales nearing one million.
Joining Diesel is one-man music machine, Harts, who wears many hats, including singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer. Harts is renowned for his Jimi Hendrix-esque guitar playing and unique fusion funk, pop, rock and soul.
Another great act over the weekend will be our very own multiple ARIA award recipient and nominee, Jeff Lang, who has earned worldwide acclaim as a virtuosic guitarist, a dynamic songwriter and a startlingly unique live performer. With a back-catalogue of 15 studio albums, Jeff has been featured at major festivals, pubs, clubs, art centres and venues internationally for the past decade.
This is just the beginning of who's coming to entertain us this year at the 23rd Festival, with plenty more artists to be announced over the coming months.
Blues at Bridgetown is managed by a non-profit community association and has been delivering an annual music festival since 1993. Held on the second weekend of November each year, the three-day festival attracts visitors from interstate, overseas and locally. The continued success of the festival is without question due to the dedicated volunteers.
Blues at Bridgetown Committee Chairman Nick Petroff said he was looking forward to another sensational weekend of Blues and Roots music.
"We are once again thrilled to bring a stellar line-up of incredible talent to Bridgetown for what is going to be another sensational weekend of Blues and Roots music," Mr Petroff said. “The festival has a way of bringing the community together and we love that it draws people to this beautiful part of the world to experience that with us.”
