MOTOCROSS: Young rev-heads and dirt bike enthusiasts were in full swing on Sunday, when the Bunbury Motorcycle Club hosted the penultimate fifth round of the WA Motocross State Junior Championships.

Riders from across the country turned out for the event with a number of successful showings.
Justin Hart from the Lightweight Motorcycle Club dominated in the under 15s and 16s categories taking out wins in both the 100cc/125cc under 15s and the 128cc-150cc/250cc under 16s.
The Lightweight Motorcycle Club was represented well again by Mat Fabry, who claimed a win in the 100cc/125cc under 15s.
Regan Duffy of the Wanneroo Junior Motorcycle Club took won the 85cc/150cc under 16s while Tylar Solomon, also of Wanneroo, claimed first spot in the 65cc under 10s.

Kayden Minear of Wanneroo topped the 500cc Auto under 9s and Cody Chittick of the WA Junior Motorcycle Club won the 65cc under 12s final.
Liam Atkinson of the WAJMCC also won his final in the 85cc under 12s.
Benny Novak (third in 65cc under 12s) and Corben Weinert (third in 85cc/150cc under 16s) were the only podium finishers for the Bunbury Motorcycle Club.
Bunbury Motorcycle Club president Ian Scarlett said the quality of riders on display showed how successful the event was.
“These riders are the best in the state and everyone is keen to get some practice in on the (Bunbury) track before we hold the nationals next month,” he said.
“The event ran really smoothly and around 250 riders showed up – that sort of shows how positive it can be holding an event of this significance.”
The Bunbury Motorcycle Club will host the Australian Junior Motocross Championships from September 26 to October 3.
