TWO new additions to the City of Bunbury council will bring fresh ideas and experience following their win at the weekend's local government election.
Joel McGuiness and Monique Warnock are the two new faces who will join Betty McCleary, Brendan Kelly, Murray Cook and Sam Morris through to the next election in October 2017.
Mr McGuiness has been the general manager of Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre since 2011, working hard to to advance arts and culture in Bunbury.
He was awarded the 2014 South West Business Person of the Year and has vowed to help the business community work in partnership with local and state government to create a strong economy and thriving community.
He is also keen to act as a voice for younger generations to bring fresh ideas to council.
Ms Warnock is a founding member of the Bunbury Marine Facilities Alliance and a member of the state government's Marine Facilities Group which is planning our city's marina.
In 2014 she was appointed the inaugural chair of the City of Bunbury's Event Coordination Group, working with a team of volunteers to bring visitors and vibrancy to the city.
Ms Warnock wants to use her position on council to continue to cement Bunbury's position as WA's second capital and attract business and jobs to the region.
