RESIDENTS living in close proximity to a disused butter factory have expressed concerns over numerous break-ins and anti social behaviour reported at the site.
Located in Thomas Street Boyanup on the old butter factory site, the premises were operational from the 1930s. Until the milk industry deregulation, it was the Challenge Dairy Milk Depot.
Local residents who do not wished to be named said they have notified the police that the gates have again been smashed open, giving access to the depot site leading down to the Preston River. They believe it has now become a site for vandals and unsavoury activities.
Anyone noticing suspicious behaviour in the area is asked to notify Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
