POLICE have charged a 17-year-old boy of Boyup Brook after he allegedly drove his car over two people at a Bridgetown camping ground on the weekend.

The boy has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm and dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm.
A 16-year-old Carey Park girl received serious injuries after being hit by the boy's car while lying in her swag.
At 1.45am on Sunday morning, a party was being held at a camping area near Blackwood River.
The majority of people were in a nearby hall/shed, with a number of people also setting up camp around a cleared area near bushland.
The 17-year-old was a driver of a Ford Falcon and was reportedly driving recklessly in the cleared area.
Upon losing control, the car ran over the girl and a 17-year-old boy who were lying in the swags.
The driver of the vehicle then fled the area, leaving the injured people under the car.
Party goers in the hall rendered assistance to the two.
The girl received serious injuries and was flown to Royal Perth Hospital and the boy received a suspected broken ankle and burns and was treated at Bridgetown Hospital.
He will appear before the Manjimup Children’s Court on December 19.
