JOSH Pyke will be filling the Prince of Wale with his soulful, countryesque sounds as he goes on tour of Australia’s more remote stages on a 32-date tour.
Josh said playing regional stages was important to him because it was the truest gauge of ability to go to the people.
“It’s immensely rewarding playing regional stages but also, I can’t expect people to come to metro areas all the time, I have to go to them,” he said.
“Plus touring is also a great place to find inspiration.”
Josh has been to the Price of Wales before where he said this time he’d be covering everything from his mini-album to all the songs people want to hear.
“It’s always a pretty rowdy mob down at the Prince,” he said.
“But going in you know what you’re in for and you can prepare, but it’s going to be a good night.”
As well as Bunbury Josh Pyke will also be chilling out with mellow gigs at the Dunsborough Tavern.
Josh said his goal when he plays if take people along a journey and feel what he feels when he plays his songs.
“I get taken back to places and times and memories and I want my audience to feel some of that,” he said.
“I want them to feel connected.”
Josh Pyke will be appearing at the Prince on Thursday, July 21, and at the Dunsborough Tavern on Friday, July 22.
