LAST Saturday the Collie Eagle’s Year 10/11's, Year 8's and Year 7's all traveled to Harvey to face the Bulls, while the Year 9's had a bye. Weather conditions were unpleasant but the boys battled hard to come away with one win and two close losses. Year 7's started the day with a third straight win for the season. Collie led from start and played some solid footy in the rainy conditions running out 10 goal plus winners.
The Year 8's copped the worst of the weather during their game. Both teams were only able to score one goal each and in the end Harvey won by one point. Collie are now three wins from four games and with a home game this weekend will be keen to bounce back and get back on the winners’ list.
The Year 10/11's battled hard but unfortunately weren't able to come away with a win. Collie were well in the game throughout and led at half-time, but Harvey were able to get some important goals and ended up winning by a couple of goals.
This Saturday is going to be a big day for the club with all four teams playing Bunbury at home plus the normal Saturday morning younger age groups. The pp/1/2's kick off at 9am, with games all day until about 6pm when the Year 10/11's finish the day.
