The William Barrett and Sons Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea has proven again to be the biggest morning tea in Bunbury.
Upwards of 2000 people came through on Thursday to enjoy cakes, tea, a sausage sizzle and most importantly to raise awareness and money for cancer.
Celebrating it’s 23rd year, this year the fundraiser added to the amount raised by the event, bringing the total to over $250,000 raised for cancer research.
Event organiser Margaret Barrett said the support they get from the community every year is amazing.
“It’s always a wonderful gala event with fantastic entertainment, and it’s really become a community event” she said.
“The first one raised $990 and now we’re at a quarter of a million dollars, which is fantastic.”
