The final ticket for next month’s federal election in the seat of Forrest has been confirmed with eight candidates vying to represent the South West region in Canberra for the next three years.
At midday on Friday, Forrest division returning officer Stuart Jones began a ballot to determine the order the candidates would be listed in on the voting slips.
The ballot paper reads;
- Ross Slater – Independent
- Edward Dabrowski – Australian Christians
- David Fishlock – Outdoor Recreation Party
- Jennifer Whatley – Rise Up Australia
- Nola Marino – Liberal Party of Australia
- Luke Pilkington – The Nationals
- Lorrae Loud – Australian Labor Party
- Jill Reading – The Greens
Forrest enrolling officer Dianne Haddow was given a blindfold and with the assistance of divisional clerk Rosemary Bradley, drew numbered balls from a barrel to determine the order of the candidates on the ballot paper.
