The South West Development Commission (SWDC) has appointed SWDC strategic manager people and place Anna Oades as acting chief executive officer.

Ms Oades has been confirmed to take over the position on July 1, following outgoing SWDC CEO Don Punch’s retirement.
Ms Oades has experience in WA’s public sector in areas such as community development and funding, social policy and research and social planning.
The candidate’s selection was made following an expression of interest process through the senior levels of service.
The CEO recruitment process will soon get underway.
