
South West Traffic officers are seeking the public’s assistance regarding a serious crash that occurred in Usher on Wednesday night, July 20, 2016.
About 6.25pm, a Holden Commodore and an unregistered off-road motorcycle collided at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Northwood Gardens.
The motorcycle was not fitted with any lighting and it is believed the rider was not wearing a helmet.
As a result of the crash, the petrol tank of the motorcycle ruptured and caught alight, causing the rider to suffer serious burns to multiple areas of his body.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old man from Dalyellup, was taken to Bunbury Regional Hospital for treatment before being transferred to Fiona Stanley Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, a 53-year-old man from Usher, was not injured in the crash.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the vehicle or motorcycle prior to the crash or the crash itself.
