
Dalyellup Park Rangers kicked off their Sunday with a thrilling victory in the ladies division.
The Rangers took on Australind who sit on top of the league and were quick to serve it up to the competition’s top side.
At half time, Dalyellup were soaring 4-1 thanks to two goals from Angela Atherton, a goal to Jaimee-Lee James and an own goal.
Australind fought back with two late goals to finish the match 4-3.
The division one game saw Dalyellup take on Dynamos in a tight encounter.
The game could have gone either way with many chances going begging for both sides but in the end Dynamos managed to come out on top 3-2.
The Rangers were encouraged by an improved performance with Rob Hislop and Len Mclsaac getting on the score sheet.
Michael Krispyn was awarded the Aussie Living Homes Man of the Match award.
The Rangers reserves side were up against Australind and got off to a brilliant start with an early goal from Robbie Theesungnoen.
Dalyellup were on top for the first half with many chances but were unable to convert.
Australind came out with a higher intensity in the second half and managed to equalise midway through the half. The game finished at 1-1, a fair result in a classic game of two halves.
Dalyellup’s premier league side were looking to get back to winning ways after a couple of recent disappointing results.
The Rangers faced Australind who have been finding much better form since the start of the season.
Australind proved difficult to break down in the first half but Dalyellup found the breakthrough when Mitch Iveson tapped the ball home from a few yards out off the back of a rebound towards the end of the period.
The second half saw Dalyellup take further control thanks to two goals to Terry Mukuka and one to Paul Madondo.
The match finished with Dalyellup winning 4-0 and Dylan Urquhart named Dalyellup’s man of the match.
