Bunbury breakfast radio duo Ned and Josh are putting pedal to pavement with an epic fundraising tandem bicycle ride from Northam to Kalgoorlie.
The 500 kilometre ride will raise funds for Lifeline.
The ride comes after the pair wanted to go to Kalgoorlie’s famous race, so it was put to the public to decide how they would travel there.
The tandem bike was decorated by the Stirling Street Art Centre as a horse to celebrate the racing theme.
The boys are hopeful of making the total distance by 8am this Friday.
Event Manager Jarred O’Brien doesn’t share their confidence.
“Ned and Josh haven’t trained much, our campervan already smells like a wet dog and we have to look at the boys in lycra all week, so things aren’t looking good.”
Ned and Josh will be fundraising and broadcasting along the Great Eastern Highway for their regional WA breakfast show each morning until reaching Kalgoorlie for a special live show from St. Barbara’s Square Friday morning.
