UPDATE: Police and SES search crews in Bunbury have confirmed they have found John Stanley Litherland almost two days after he was last seen at his nursing home residence in Bunbury.
He was found almost 10 kilometres away from the home and has been taken to Bunbury Regional Hospital for a check up.
EARLIER: Police are searching for a missing 71-year-old man who was last seen at his Hayes Street nursing home residence in Bunbury about 12.40pm on Wednesday.
John Stanley Litherland is described as being 179cm tall, medium build, with fair skin and grey hair, and he was last seen wearing a brown suede jacket and long pants.
Police are currently conducting a search in the area around the nursing home, and are conducting patrols of the Bunbury area.
