An interesting card at Bunbury Turf Club on Thursday saw eight different jockeys and eight different trainers taste victory.
A $14 winner kicked off proceedings with Shaun McGruddy riding the Brendon Fitzgerald-trainer My Laina to a length victory in the first.
Favourite Cape Lady ($2.90) thumped her rivals in the second to the tune of three-and-a-half lengths.
The three-year-old Bay Filly trained by Simon Miller led the 1208 metre race from start to finish for jockey Peter Knuckey.
Local horse Sixpence Spent ($2.90), trainer by Peter and Matt Giadresco, took out the third for Jason Whiting, running down joint favourite Diamond Princess by a long neck in the shadows of the post.
A strong run from the tail of the field saw Danehills Daughter ($8.20) claim race four for jockey Shaun O’Donnell and trainer Stephen Rowe by a short neck.
Apprentice jockey Randy Tan partnered with Grindabella ($4.20) to claim race five, making every post from start to finish a winner.
Mica Lil ($4.30) found clear running late in race six to salute for trainer David Harrison and jockey Brad Parnham, who has found a purple patch of form.
His jockey brother Steven and trainer father Neville then paired up with Phantom Choice ($4.50) to claim a head-length victory in race seven.
The locally trained Toned made up strong ground late at a blowout price and may be one to consider for the black book.
The final race of the day saw Lord Ludlow ($10.90) hang tough for jockey Jason Brown.
Trained by Paul Jordan, the three-year-old bay gelding, clung on for a short-head start-to-finish win over All Settled.
