Bunbury’s iconic Mangles Street deli is set to receive a significant upgrade.
Bunbury City Council voted on Tuesday night in favour of giving development approval to the Mangles Corner Store.
The store, which is famous among local for its takeaway food and customer service, will soon be home to a drive-thru coffee and food service.
The approval for development was a result of City officers working together with the owners and consultant to reach a result which would allow the business to grow and prosper.
The deli has been a part of Bunbury’s landscape for more than 30 years and is an example of local business owners using vision to diversify themselves in the market.
City of Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan applauded the family-owned business and said he looked forward to seeing the final result.
“It's a credit to the owners for their many years of hard work and confidence in our growing City to invest in what will be a state-of-art convenience store,” Mr Brennan said.
