Mr Archer will wear his special shoes this week as part of Radio Rentals’ inaugural ‘Wear-a-Pair’ drive which encourages male staff to seek sponsorship from family, friends and the community to raise funds for and awareness of White Ribbon Day.
Nailing wood to a pair of sandals, Mr Archer was able to quickly and cheaply make his fashion statement which will give customers a laugh but hopefully also get them supporting a serious cause that is no laughing matter.
The Bunbury store will also be selling white ribbons to raise additional funds.
In November 2015, Radio Rentals signed a four-year partnership with White Ribbon Australia, Australia’s largest male-led campaign to stop violence against women. The partnership stems from community engagement and becoming deeply concerned about the rates of violence against women in Australia.
