THE Collie C-grade side travelled to Harvey for Round 9, captain Wayne Underdown won the toss and elected to bat. Collie openers Connor Mumme and Liam Reuben started the first six overs at six runs an over before Mumme (18) edged to the keeper.

Collie then lost the in form Matthew Pearson (2) and Reuben (23) in quick succession in the 10th over, leaving Collie at 3 for 46.
Jared Wilcosz continued his good form, until he timed the ball too well being caught for 12. Ryan Chappell and John Shepherd both batted strongly and steadied the ship, taking Collie to drinks at 4 for 110 in the 23rd over.
After drinks Chappell and Shepherd compiled another 50 runs between them, before Chappell's dismissal for 70 ended a 92-run partnership.
Underdown came and went within a few deliveries, leaving Collie at 6 for 160 in the 29th over.
Steve Fraser and Nigel Irvine helped Shepherd add quick runs, the three pushing Collie's total above 180 before Fraser (10) and Shepherd (27) both departed before the 35th over. Josh Fraser and Irvine shared a 32-run partnership, before Fraser (20) and then Irvine (18) left Jacob Denholm at 4 not out.
Collie being bowled out in the 44th over for 232. After the break, Collie Bowlers Steve Fraser and Wilcosz started well before a short delivery was hit high and catch by Tyson Hayes off Wilcosz (1/38).
Harvey then steadied to be 1 for 29 from five overs, before rain delayed the match for 30 minutes.
The Collie bowlers resumed with a great degree of difficulty, the ball seemingly difficult to control in the wet conditions.
Hayes the only bowler to adapt to the slippery conditions, claiming both the Harvey danger batsmen and claiming figures of 2 for 23 from seven overs.
Harvey went to the drink break at 3 for 116. Harvey continued to damped Collie's bowlers, adding another 36 runs, before an unfortunate event finding a Harvey batsman out hit wicket to Steve Fraser, and an ambulance needing to be called for the injured batsman.
With only eight over left to be bowled under the adjusted conditions, the game was abandoned, while waiting for medical assistance for the injured player, as he was unable to be moved safely from the ground.
Under the Duckworth Lewis adjustment scheme, Harvey were awarded the win. Kleenheat C-grade Man of the Match: Ryan Chappell – 70 points.
