Bunbury Moorabinda Croquet Club has confirmed its newest life member, an honour the club has previously bestowed on only a select few.
Current president Murray Hawker became just the 13th honorary life member on Sunday and the first to be honoured with the accolade since 2004.
The club has had just 13 life members in their 112 year history with Hawker’s inclusion on that list in recognition of his ongoing dedication.
He has spent the past 13 years with the club, serving all of that time on the management committee with stints as treasurer and president.
He has also played a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the condition of the lawns to an international standard.
