Entries are now open for the 2017 Neverfail Australia Day Fun Run with plenty of the best local and South West distance runners set to enter the January 26 event.
One of four premier events hosted by the Bunbury Runners Club, the Australia Day Fun Run is in its 24th year and will feature a 10 kilometre and five kilometre run.
A large field of entrants are also expected to join in the fun of the five kilometre walk.
Last year Darren Jenkins was first over the line in the 10 kilometre race in just over 33 minutes while Rosemary Giles was the first woman to finish the event.
Mirrante Ryder was the first female in the five kilometre race while Matt Duncan was the quickest male over the shorter distance.
This event has become synonymous in Bunbury with Australia Day and allows locals to get their day off to a healthy walk, jog or run around the Leschenault Inlet.
