Protesters will gather at Boyanup Oval on February 26 to have their photo taken by an overhead drone.
Organisers say an image from the protest will be sent to the Premier and used in a series of posters and photos that demonstrate a “collective push to protect land, water and health from this unnecessary and invasive industry”.
Participants are expected to converge on Boyanup Oval on Sunday, February 26 at 4pm.
About 4.30pm, a drone will capture an image of the assembled crowd.
Organisers have urged attendees to wear yellow or white and bring an umbrella.
Spokesperson for Lock the Gate in WA Jane Hammond said the photo shoot would create a historic image of the community's battle against the onshore gas industry in the South West.
"Let's hope that we can look back on this photo as a record of how the community won the battle to protect its land, water and health from an inappropriate and invasive gas industry,” she said.
"In the run-up to the state election this image will be a powerful message to the Government that the gas industry does not have a social licence to operate in the South West.
“It is one of a number of events that the Gasfield Free South West Alliance has organised to get the message out in the South West that gasfields are not needed or wanted in our region.
"The statewide grassroots community campaign has already launched a series of adverts on regional TV calling on voters to think about where the parties stand on fracking and unconventional gas when they cast their votes at the March 11 poll."
Carly Stone, member of the Gasfield Free SouthWest Alliance said the group was also hosting two film nights and candidate forums in the electorates of Collie-Preston and Bunbury.
"On Wednesday evening February 22 the Alliance will be hosting a film night and candidate forum at the Capel Golf Club at 6pm so that the community can listen to their candidates and quiz them about where they stand on gasfields and onshore gas developments," Ms Stone said.
"On Thursday March 2 we will be hosting an even bigger film night and candidate forum for the Bunbury electorate at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre starting at 6pm.
"These events will provide a great chance to really find out where these parties stand on this issue of great importance to so many in our community."
Ms Stone urged the community to get onboard and join the photo shoot and the film nights.
"This is a real chance to make a difference on the future direction of the south west."
