Get your Flannos out, comb your mullet and crack a tinnie, because Bogan Bingo is coming to Collie and it’s not for the faint-hearted.
Collie Early Education Inc. has organised the Bogan Bingo fundraiser event to raise funds for the centre.
Collie Early Education Inc. Fundraising Coordinator Cassandra Bertolini said all funds raised from the event will go towards creating a nature play area.
“Bogan Bingo is half game show and half party, and it’s our fundraising event for Collie Early Education Centre to finish our nature play area for our new centre,” she said.
“There will be plenty of entertainment, if anyone has ever been to Bogan Bingo it’s the best night ever, it’s really epic.”
“The entertainers dress up and they are very good at what they do they play the part very well.
Ms Bertolini said although there is bingo played on the night, the event is more of a theatre performance.
“You get a couple of games of bingo but it’s more party than bingo, the bingo is part of the night as well, they call out each number and each number has its own little skit to go with it,” she said.
Ms Bertolini said there will be raffles, auctions and licenced bar and food on the night with EFTPOS facilities available.
“We have prizes for best dressed bogan, and air guitar comps too,” she said. “It’s set to be an epic night to raise much needed funds for our service and it’s our first major fundraiser for the centre.
“We want to finish off the kids play area as quickly as possible so the kids can get the benefit out of it.”
Bogan Bingo incorporates comedy, music and crowd interaction with a timeless, age-old game of bingo.
Ms Bertolini thanked the community for their ongoing support.
“We would also like to thank the local businesses who have supported us by providing donations and prizes, everyone has been very helpful,” she said.
“The benefit is going to go back into the community.”
The Bogan Bingo event will be held at the Collie Miners Institute on Throssell Street on Saturday, March 25.
Tickets are $25 per person to make a table of eight.
Tickets are available from Crank'n Cycles or by calling Cassandra Bertolini on 0407 389 007.
