Liberal candidate for Collie-Preston Elysia Harverson has said she is keen to run again in four years time despite Labor’s landslide victory in the electorate.
Mrs Harverson said she fought hard for the seat throughout the campaign.
“I feel privileged to have been able to run for this seat for the Liberal party, I met a lot of great people and enjoyed getting to understand the issues in all of the communities of Collie-Preston,” she said.
“While I am devastated about the result of the State election considering the huge amount of work I put into the campaign, I am proud I ran an excellent, hard-fought campaign in what was always going to be a tough seat to win.
“Four years is a long way away, but this experience has reiterated to me how passionate I am about serving the community and how much I would love to represent my community in parliament so I am keen to run again in four years.”
Mrs Harverson thanked her supporters and congratulated Mick Murray and the Labor Government on their win.
