Collieburn-Cardiff Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade have recently received a donation of some shelving for their premises.
President of the Collieburn- Cardiff Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade Kathy Miller said she was grateful for the donation.
“It’s being used for spare uniforms and personal protective equipment, safety glasses and helmets,” she said.
“I would like to say thanks very much, it’s made things much easier to find rather than all being in a heap on the floor. Also, thanks for Synergy for organising it.”
Warren Blay from Scavenger Supplies, who donated the shelving, said they were looking for ways to support the community.
“The fire brigade were struggling with some storage issues and we are a supply company so we decided to support the community,” he said.
“I overheard a conversation on the problem they were faced with and said to them ‘I will see if I can solve that problem’.
“Hopefully it reduces injuries and we are happy to support the community, and support the good thing that they do, most of them are volunteers.
“We are a fire safety company, so we supply fire and safety services to the community, we service some of the local Collie businesses and make sure they are compliant.”
