THE Val Booth Bowl event was played over two days last week in wintry conditions.
Cara Swan, playing off an 8 handicap was the outright winner of both the 36-hole nett and gross events.
Her excellent scores for the prestigious Val Booth Bowl of 74 and 76 nett, put her three shots clear of runner-up, club champion Vicki Graham with 78-75.
Third place went to the consistent Lee Massara with 79-75. Swan’s gross scores were 84-82.
Both Swan and Massara have been playing great golf over the past few weeks with Swan winning the A-grade comp on the previous Wednesday with 38 points and Massara taking out the B-grade trophy with 34.
The first round of the two-day event saw Graham win the Dot Sullivan trophy with her score of 78 nett.
In the second round, Massara won the Val Riley trophy with her score of 75.
Novelties over the two days were won by Bev Moyses (Love and Flour), Graham (Sportfirst and Boulevarde), Nancy Lynn (Love and Flour). June monthly medals were won by Swan (A-grade) and Rhonda Annandale (B-grade).
