Balingup will come alive with medieval mayhem for the 2017 Balingup Medieval Carnivale to be held on August 26 and 27.
New for this year’s event is an impressive arena for families to watch the reenactment of battles by the different groups of fighting knights.
This addition has been built by a dedicated and motivated crew of volunteers.
There will be two stages again this year providing all day entertainment plus buskers will be mingling in the crowds.
Don’t miss the vibrant and colourful daily grand parade driven on by the primal beat of the Wasamba Drummers.
Watch skilled craftsman produce metal work at the Foundry and the Aspiring Centaurs will demonstrate their competence at archery on horseback.
The flying raptors and the slithering snake are always worth a visit. Plus there are more than 100 stalls to tempt you with everything from handcrafted jewellery to local gourmet food.
And who could miss the spectacular Burning of the Dragon on Saturday night?
