Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry vice president Katie Van Den Brand enjoys the fact new technologies help regional business stay competitive in a fast-paced world.
“Technology is crucial, it helps regional businesses link with bosses, clients and customers all over Australia and the world,” she said.
“Every week my business video conferences with others across the state – technology completely levels the playing field.
“With so much activity in the online space you may no longer know, or need to know, where a business is physically based.”
Ms Van Den Brand said as a business owner and a single mother who travels a lot, technology helps her to do everything on the go at any time convenient to her.
“I love that I’m connected 100 per cent of the time and I can do what I need to with a single device in one hand,” she said.
Her word coincide with Apple unveiling three new phones – the iPhone8, iPhone X and a revamped Apple Watch.
Bunbury Telstra business manager Brenton Hazell said the new releases commemorate the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and include a number of exciting features.
“I was up at 4.30am this morning to watch the unveiling and I just know people are going to love the bigger screens, the facial recognition technology, the increased security features and the improved battery life,” he said.
He said demand for the new products locally was expected to be “massive” and the only way to ensure getting your hands on one soon was by pre-ordering.
“Demand always outstrips supply early on when Apple release a new product so visit us at the Bunbury or Eaton Telstra stores to find out how these new phones can benefit you,” he said.
