The Old Police Station Art Group have been busy sewing and are ready to send the finished products to a good cause.
Every year for the last two decades the group make quilts for patients at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
The quilts go to long-term patients and just recently the hospital asked the ladies to make a few extra for its palliative care ward.
The group is a giving bunch and in May this year they donated quilts to the Collie Riding Develops Abilities.
Before the quilts are sent to the hospital the group will be displaying them at Central Park.
You will see the display on Saturday November 11 from 9am to 5pm.
The ladies at the Old Police Station Art Group do more than making quilts.
They also do pottery, knitting, crochet and drawing – anything arts and crafts.
If you are interested in joining the Old Police Station Art Group or buying their artwork, they based at 67 Throssell Street and are open Monday 9.15-1pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30-1pm and Friday from 10-2pm.
