The recent spate of thefts at vacant properties has continued with several properties targetted.

On November 22, police received a report of a burglary at a house in Atkinson Street that may have occurred in the last week. A fly screen and window had been broken but it is unclear whether anything was taken.
Police also received a report of a burglary at a house in Ogden Street on November 24. A shed at the rear of the property was broken into and items were collected in a shopping trolley, however it appears the offender may have been interrupted and fled without taking anything.
Vacant properties on both Shannon Way and Shannon Street were also targetted, with copper piping stolen from both locations. Collie Police Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar has urged residents to report any suspicious activities around vacant properties to police for investigation.
Police have also received a large number of reports of nuisance incidents around Coverley Drive, including egg throwing, abusive language and threats. Senior Sergeant Soutar said residents should contact police if they see any similar types of nuisance behaviour in the area.
Police investigated a suspicious fire in bushland on Boyshome Road on November 24. Police collected a cigarette butt that was found near the ignition point and will be conducting forensic examinations. Senior Sergeant Soutar said it was important that people don’t to throw cigarette butts out the window while driving because they can potentially start bushfires.
A 36-year-old woman from Bunbury was arrested on a drug-related charge on November 25. The woman had called police to request assistance and the responding officers found her in possession of drug paraphernalia. The same woman was arrested again the next night for criminal damage offences in relation to an incident that occurred in Howie Place.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested for breaching a police order after an incident in Simpson Street on November 26.
Also on November 26, officers on patrol saw two juveniles acting suspiciously, including one boy hiding under a vehicle in a carport on Park Street. The boy was charged with trespass and received bail with curfew conditions.
The police received a report of a damaged car on Williams Road on November 27. The front windscreen had been shattered and it appeared that a rock had been thrown at it.
Finally, Senior Sergeant Soutar has warned campers to be mindful of where they store their valuables after a recent theft. A purse, containing personal property, was stolen from the gear of a group of campers at Black Diamond Lake on November 27.
