An up and coming Perth musician is looking forward to taking on new territory this January when he tours the South West with his debut album.
After winning the Emerging Artist award at Nannup Music Festival last year, acoustic singer/songwriter Jake Hatch has been busy gigging and recording.
The 19-year-old who describes his recently debut album, It’s the Life, as raw and diverse said he was looking forward to bringing his music to the South West.
“I just released my first debut album so while I was recording that I decided to set this tour up as a way to promote it and get it out there,” Hatch said.
“I’m really happy with how it turned out – it was all done on a budget at home.
“The tour is pretty much a good reason to run away from home for a while.”
Hatch will be kicking off his It’s the Life tour at the Prince of Wales Hotel on January 11, before heading further down south to Busselton, Dunsborough and Yallingup.
“It’s pretty raw but that is one of the things I was going for – keeping it stripped back – it’s not over produced,” Hatch said.
“I haven’t spent too much time in Bunbury so I’m looking forward to embracing a new town.”
