Visitors to the Collie Public Library on Monday, January 22 received a different library experience than usual.
Local reptile expert Phill Schenberg brought a collection of snakes and lizards for an interactive experience for children over the school holidays.
Hundreds of childrens and their parents filled the library to have a look at and learn about the creatures.
Those who were brave enough to get up close and personal with the snakes even got the chance to hold them.
For those who weren’t interested in getting close to the snakes, there were also some lizards to hold along with some scorpions and spiders to look at.
The Snakes Alive event was just one of the activities the Collie Public Library held for children over the school holidays.
