Rotary Club of Collie membership director John Vlasich said it was important for the club to connect with members of the community through the display, which ran from February 1 to 3.
Mr Vlasich said it was important for the club to dispel the notion that the Rotary Club was a closed group.
“What we wanted to do was bring Rotary out into the fore, so people could come and talk to us and we could tell them what Rotary did locally, in Australia and internationally,” he said.
Mr Vlasich said the display had information on over 60 projects the group had been involved in around Collie over the last years.
“There’s all sorts of projects we’ve done over the years. We put TVs in the Collie Hospital, we facilitated the trail to Allanson,” he said.
“It’s been fantastic what the club has done, but to do these projects we definitely need people on board that can help us.”
Mr Vlasich said the club also had the chance to talk about the future of the Rotary Club in 2018 and beyond.
“We’re looking forward to a Rotary conference in Collie in about March 2019 with around 400 rotarians coming into town for a weekend, which should be really beneficial to Collie,” he said.
“We also have a road clean-up drive coming up in March if anyone wants to get involved.”
