LADIES PENNANTS – February 13
Collie were away to Eaton for the last game of the season and came away with the win. Good scoring on L. Mitchell’s team who had a good win.

MEN'S PENNANTS – February 13
Division 1 were away at Binningup; Division 3 went to Capel and Division 4 went to Boyanup.

Collie 1 point 27 aggregate lost to Busselton Red 3 points 45 aggregate;
G. Keep, R. Guilfoyle, K. McKenzie, R. Garner won 21 to 16;
J. Parker, T. Edwards, R. Ferris, J. Crowe lost 6 to 29.
Division 3
Collie 4 points 63 aggregate def Capel 0 points 20 aggregate;
T. Welsh, T. Uren, L. McCamish, D. Burgess won 25 to 12;
W. Simmonds, H. Wiggers, J. Waywood, W. Stocks won 38 to 8.
Division 4
Collie 3 points 43 aggregate def Boyanup 1 point 37 aggregate;
K. Richards, P. Kaurin, V. Brojanowski, G. Saggers lost 21 to 23;
I. Corley, B. Lowe, J. Godfrey, I. Bushell won 22 to 14.
KOJONUP MEN'S FOURS – February 11
The Collie team to venture down or over to Kojonup had a good day and came away in second spot.
Gary Keep, Tom Edwards, Ross White and Wayne Stocks second with three wins and plus 29 up.
BOYANUP LADIES TRIPLES – February 16
A team from Collie travelled to Boyanup for the triples and had a good and enjoyable day, coming away with a win.
Collie were the only team to have three wins and the second spot went to the team from Harvey with two wins.
Winners: Kerry Scott, Karina Snow and Judy Saunders with three wins.
BINNINGUP FOURS – February 16
The team of Graeme Carter, Kevin McKenzie, Ray Colgan, Les McCamish travelled to Binningup for their fours day. They played in a new format. Winning all your games on the first day you went into a group of six. The next group was a six also, as were the next two groups, and eight lots of prize money was given out to all groups. All thought the new format was a good idea.
SATURDAY PENNANTS – February 17
Divison 1 were at home to Brunswick and second division went to Busselton.

Collie 5 points 76 aggregate def Brunswick 1 point 46 aggregate;
G. Keep, A. Collins, Ron White, GR Garner won 23 to 17;
T. Edwards, J. McElroy, R. Colgan, J. Crowe won 34 to 8;
Ross White, G. Carter, G. Old, W. Stocks lost 19 to 21.
Division 2
Collie 2 points 52 aggregate lost to Busselton Black 4 points 54 aggregate;
M. Mellor, P. Kaurin, J. Waywood, S. Matthews won 17 to 16;
K. McKenzie, R. Ferris, L. McCamish, V. Brojanowski won 27 to 11;
R. Gilfoyle, H. Wiggers, G. Saggers, L. Flynn lost 8 to 29.
CRVMC CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES – February 18
The rounds of the plate were played to get into the semi finals and then the semis commenced at 1pm.
In the major Tom Edwards played Kevin Mckenzie and got off to a great start, winning by a good margin. Gary Keep played Les McCamish in the other semi and even though Les had the bowls in the head and around the jack Gary found a way to take him out or draw shot. Into the grand final went Tom Edwards and Gary Keep.
To start the game Tom scored a one and Gary scored seven on the next three ends. By the seventh end Gary was nine and Tom was six.
After the next seven ends Tom picked up three shots but Gary picked up five and by the 13th end Gary was 14 to Tom 9.
From 14 ends to 24 ends Tom was battling to counter Gary with his draw shots, up shots and trailing of the jack Gary picked up 11 shots to Tom’s five and by the 24th end Gary won the match with 25 to 14.
By the way, Gary has been playing in the State Singles and the Over 60 singles in Perth.
Great bowls by both these players; it was a good game to watch.
Plate
In the semi finals of the plate Jeff Crowe played Peter Kaurin and Max Cubic played Phil Warburton.
One game was close and the other won by a fair margin. The grand final was played between Jeff Crowe and Phil Warburton.
By the 13th end Jeff had a good margin by picking up multiple shots to make it Jeff 17 to Phil’s 9. Warby then started to get multiple shots to bring the score back to 18 to 19 to Jeff. On the 22nd end Jeff picked up two shots and Warby could not get in the head.
Jeff Crowe ran out the winner score being 21 to 18; another good game of bowls by a couple of wily bowlers.
