About 100 swimmers took to the waters of the Leschenault Inlet on Saturday, March 3, for the 36th annual Barrett Bunbury Swim Thru.
The 1.6km swim raises funds for the City of Bunbury Surf Life Saving Club and attracted swimmers of all ages from 13 to 82.
Unlike most other events, the winner of the swim is the person who is closest to their nominated time, this went to Andrea Williams who traveled from Kalamunda to compete on the day.
The fastest overall was former Bunbury swimmer Kate Bird in 21 minutes and 31 seconds, three seconds in front of Peter Andrews.
Following the swim, competitors and spectators enjoyed a barbecue and presentations at the Rowing Club.
Event coordinator Nicole Trela said it was another great swim with some inspirational finishes.
"We are so grateful to the sponsors, swimmers and the Bunbury Rowing Club for making it a successful day yet again,” she said.
