Collie Police have recovered seven of the eight radio-controlled cars stolen from the Collie RC Club just over a week ago.

Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar said as a result of information received by police, they had executed a search warrant at a house on Porter Street on Thursday, March 8 and had recovered six of the cars.
Police then also recovered another car that was found dumped in the Collie River.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said inquiries into the break-in were still ongoing and he expected charges would be laid soon.
Police also charged an 18-year-old man with two criminal damage offences after an incident that occurred along Forrest Street in the early hours of Saturday, March 10.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said police on patrol noticed the front window of Domino’s had been kicked in while the front window of the Fusion Smokehouse had been damaged.
He said police noticed blood on the window and as a result spoke to the 18-year-old man, who was later charged, at the Collie Hospital.
Police have also charged a 38-year-old Collie man with burglary and stealing a motor vehicle in relation to the theft of a motorbike from a home in Mary Street on February 6. The man will appear in court next month.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said police were also looking for any information in relation to three males who kicked in a shed at the Collie Senior High School around midday on Sunday, March 11.
He said it appeared nothing had been taken and that anyone with information should contact police.
Police are also investigating several thefts that occurred during the last week.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said a house on Bedlington Street in Allanson was burgled sometime on either March 7 or 8, with musical instruments, a stereo and jewelry taken.
He also said a backpack was stolen from a campsite at Black Diamond Lake.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said it was important for anyone who may know something about a crime to contact police.
He said information from the public was helpful in responding to and preventing crime and police were always available to take information.
“The public are like our eyes and ears on the streets,” he said.
“Their help is invaluable.”
