Women and men from Bunbury and surrounding areas are invited to attend a free information event hosted by the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
The Breast Cancer Treatment, Care and Looking After Yourself information forum will be held on Saturday, April 7.
The forum is designed for women, men and families affected by breast cancer.
It will discuss the medical, physical and emotional aspects of living well after a breast cancer diagnosis.
The program will feature the latest information and advice from breast cancer and health professionals and opportunities to meet others going through a similar experience.
Breast Cancer Network Australia chief executive officer Kirsten Pilatti said the forums was an opportunity for people living with a breast cancer diagnosis to learn more about new developments in treatment and connect with people in their local area.
“Breast cancer is a complex disease and it’s important that women and men with breast cancer and their loved ones have the most up-to- date information possible about treatment, research and living well after a diagnosis,” she said.
A separate session for people living with metastatic breast cancer will also be held.
This session will look at advances in metastatic breast cancer treatment and care, and discuss strategies to cope with the emotional impact of living with metastatic breast cancer.
The forum will be held at Hotel Lord Forrest on April 7 from 9.45am to 3.15pm.
Registrations and refreshments will begin at 9am, or register online at bcna.org.au/forums or call 1800 500 258.
