Those driving along Koombana Drive can see the new Dolphin Discovery Centre rising from the blueprints.
With tilt panels being erected, the new centre is starting to take shape and provide the public with a glimpse of what’s to come.
Bunbury will soon have a new landmark building designed by Bunbury practice MCG Architects that will boast a new interpretative centre and exhibits, café and souvenir shop.
Before locals and visitors can enjoy the new facility, it will close temporarily towards the end of this month to allow Bunbury-based contractor Perkins Builders to proceed with construction.
The Dolphin Discovery Centre’s Eco tours and the beach interaction zone will still be operational, and bookings for these can made through its website.
The Dolphin Discovery Centre redevelopment, along with the revitalisation of the Koombana Bay Foreshore, forms stage one of the State Government-facilitated Transforming Bunbury's Waterfront project.
The project has been scheduled for completion in December.
