The team behind the Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront project are eager to hear from the South West community about what they value most along the Koombana Bay coastline.
A survey is currently being carried out to attain information which will be used to shape a coastal hazard risk management and adaptation plan.
South West Development Commission acting chief executive officer Rebecca Ball said she encouraged community members to complete the survey.
“Bunbury enjoys a fantastic waterfront lifestyle, and by getting a clear idea of what people value, decision makers will be better placed to protect what is important to locals,” she said.
The completed plan will be used to inform decision makers about short and long term possible coastal hazards and associated risks to assets and social values, allowing them to make informed decisions about future coastal management and planning.
