Collie Police have charged a 62-year-old man after he allegedly drove his car deliberately into two cars parked on the verge in Throssell Street on Saturday morning.
Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar said it appeared the cars were owned by people related to the offender, who was charged with reckless driving, failing to provide a breath sample and failing to provide details.
Police also charged a 43-year-old man with two aggravated assault offences after he was involved in an altercation with family members in Wallsend Street on the evening of May 17.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said the man was refused bail and would appear in court later this month.
Police are looking for information after a Longjia scooter stolen from the McDonald’s carpark on May 15 was found burned out in bushland behind the Parks and Wildlife Service building on Wittenoom Street the next morning.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said anyone with information should contact Collie Police on 9734 6333.
He also said inquiries were still continuing into a burglary at a property in Watson Street.
A motorcycle was stolen from a shed at the property on May 16, however it was recovered four days later after being abandoned in bushland on Coombes Street.
Senior Sergeant Soutar thanked the public for their help in locating the stolen motorcycle.
Police are investigating after a house in Jones Street was burgled overnight on Monday, May 21.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said the occupant returned home from work and found electrical items and two televisions – including one that had been bolted to a wall – had been stolen.
Police are looking for information after an incident at the Victoria Hotel on May 18 resulted in a man receiving a badly broken leg.
Senior Sergeant Soutar asked that anyone who witnessed the incident contact police.
Police are also investigating after possible copper thieves were interrupted at Worsley Alumina in the early hours of May 17.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said the offenders were involved in an altercation with security at the refinery before they fled in a white Holden Rodeo dualcab ute with no licence plates.
Finally, police are investigating an incident where a car was damaged outside the Crown Hotel at 5:40 pm on Saturday.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said CCTV footage showed the person of interest spat on a car before they punched the left side mirror, which caused it to break. The person then continued to walk east on Throssell Street.
