The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions are investigating several kangaroo body parts and carcasses and one protected western brush-wallaby found dumped north-east of Collie earlier this month.
The bodies were found by a local woman who was going fishing on Boys Home Road. The woman later told her uncle and reported it to the police and the department.
The pair met with police and the department at the location where they were dumped.
The uncle said the incident was wrong and that anyone who goes out to harm an animal like that ‘should be caught and prosecuted.’
