After winning the Western Australian Sprintcar Title back in December, which was their debut outing together, Veal and the Krikke Motorsport team went on to accrue a number of positive results.
With planning in progress for the 2018-19 season, a decision needed to be made regarding Veal’s continuation as team driver.
After much deliberation from both parties, the decision was made to make an amicable split from each other.
“Off the back of a few discussions late last week, the team and Jamie have decided that the best way forward for both parties is to go our separate ways,” Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke said.
“Jamie brought a lot to the team and we want to thank him very much for all of his efforts over the past season, which would have been of our best yet if not for some bad luck during Speedweek.”
Krikke said the team was now focused on the upcoming season.
“The thing with Sprintcar racing is that it’s a very volatile environment and it literally is one season to the next,” he said.
“As much as we enjoyed this past season, we are really excited to see what the next chapter will bring. We have some really good irons in the fire and we’ll continue to take it to the next level.”
Krikke Motorsport would like to thank the following 2017-18 season sponsors: Transport Equipment Hire, Pumpa Manufacturing, Maxwill Racing Engines, PWR Performance Products, Valvoline Oils, Orrcon Steel, Darby’s Paints, Bunbury Toyota, BR Motorsports, Vortex Racing Products, A. Lucas Spraypainters, Skwid Signs, and Redline Media.
