The Minister for Education, Sue Ellery will be attending a public forum in Bunbury this afternoon to discuss issues impacting school communities.
Bunbury MLA Don Punch said he was looking forward to hosting the Education forum with Ms Ellery and hearing about issues affecting education directly from parents, teachers, school support staff and students.
“The cornerstone of any successful society is a strong, accessible education system so I cannot emphasise enough how important it is for school communities to provide feedback to the Minister and to me as the local member about how things are going in our schools,” he said.
“This is an opportunity for everyone in the community with an interest in education to come along have any questions they may have answered, raise any issues of concern and to highlight to the Minister the successes and achievements of the local education community.
“We are very fortunate in Bunbury to have some exception educators and innovative school programs and I am very keen for the Minister have the chance to hear about these first hand.
“The best way for anyone with a passion for education and an interest in generating the best possible outcomes for our young people to have a positive influence on these issues in Bunbury is come along to forum and make their views and ideas known.”
The Bunbury Education Forum with special guest Minister Sue Ellery will be held at the Bunbury Bowling Club, 72 Forrest Avenue Bunbury, at 4.30pm on Wednesday, June 6.
