Wendy Perdon will take on the role as principal project officer and Christine Mitcheson will take on the role as project officer.
Both women are looking forward to helping the community in their new roles.
“My role is to develop and implement the economic development plan for Collie and Bunbury. It is about working with the community to look at future-proofing Collie so there’s a good strong economy, lots of jobs and a plan moving forward for the next 20 years,” Mrs Perdon said.
“The community in Collie is fantastic and it’s going through a time of change and [we want] to be able to do everything we can do from a government perspective.”
Mrs Mitcheson said she was excited to provide support to the community.
“My role is to support Wendy and the commission and to provide support to all the different community and reference groups,” she said.
“I feel it’s really important to provide healthy options for local people moving forward into the future.”
