Bunbury's win over Eaton Boomers in round 10 has kept them in contention for the 2018 South West Netball Football League title.

Eaton was put on the back foot early, as Goal Attack Charmaine Slater and Goal Shooter Cass Shine helped Bunbury hit the lead in the first term.
The Boomers were strong enough to win the second quarter and shrink the deficit to two at half time.
They then won the third term and ensured the scores were level at the final change.
However, Bunbury ended the Boomers’ spectacular run in the fourth term.
The Bulldogs slotted 16 points to nine, going on to clinch a 53 to 46 win and secure their place in the top four.
League leaders Carey Park held off South Bunbury during a spirited showdown on Saturday.
After falling behind in the first term, the Panthers regained their strength to lead by seven at half time.
Shooting 28 points to the Tigers’ seven in the second half, Carey Park went on to win 53 to 25.
Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault scored a crushing 81 to 29 win over Augusta-Margaret River, while Busselton delivered a 64 to 27 result against Eaton.
The Boomers will be looking to take down Augusta-Margaret River in round 11.
Bunbury heads to Busselton this weekend, before HBL and South Bunbury clash in Leschenault.
In the team’s second game for round 11, the Magpies will go head-to-head with Carey Park.
The Souwest Jets nabbed their first win of the 2018 West Australian Netball League season on Friday night.
A mix of speed and accuracy helped them take an early lead during the round three clash.
Assisted by Giselle Taylor up forward and Ella Taylor in defence, the side built upon their four-point quarter-time lead.
The Perth Lions, however, picked up the pace before hitting the lead at half time.
Eager for victory, the Jets then took advantage of Taylor and Maia Bratton’s pairing.
The Jets, fighting off a comeback from the Lions close to full time, took home a 43 to 39 victory.
They will have a rest this weekend before facing off against Coastal Sharks in round five.
Schools compete for fun and glory
Schools from around Bunbury – including Bunbury Catholic College, Bunbury Senior High School, Manea Senior College, and Eaton Community College – braved the wet weather to compete in the annual South West High Schools Netball Cup on Monday, June 18 at Hay Park.
The teams were sorted into different age groups, and were then separated into either Championship (competitive) or Challenge (participation) divisions.
Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School won the Open Girls and Boys’ divisions.
Manjimup Senior High School took out the Intermediate Girls’ competition, while St Mary MacKillop College claimed the Lower Girls’ title.
The winners and runners-up in the Championship divisions will represent the region in the 2018 School Sport WA’s Elimination Day, scheduled for later this year.
