The South West Phoenix Firebirds are in good spirits, despite Perth Soccer Club’s forfeit on Sunday afternoon.
Receiving a 3-0 victory, the Firebirds remain on top of the ladder.
The side suffered it first loss for 2018 last month, going down 3-2 to the University of Western Australia in their BankWest State Cup clash.
Two goals to Nicole Suttie were not enough to prevent UWA from knocking the Firebirds out of the competition.
In their last league match, the Firebirds received a 3-0 win after Curtin University forfeited.
The side recently clinched a 1-1 draw with second-placed Wanneroo, a 3-2 win over Joondalup, and a 12-0 win over Gosnells.
The South West Phoenix men’s side enjoyed a 3-0 victory over Morley-Windmills in their division one showdown at Hay Park on the weekend.
