The team at Youth Educating Peers is bringing its Check Yo Self: Attitudes and Values workshop to Bunbury later this month.

Partnering with headspace Bunbury, the interactive and activity-based events will be held at the Bunbury Library on July 26 with workshops specifically for young people and another for service providers.

Youth Affairs Council of WA project coordinator Anania Tagaro said the team was excited to be facilitating the workshops in Bunbury.

“Our YEP Crew Peer Educators, who are young people themselves, have developed these workshops in response to the current and continuous need to make youth programs and organisations more safe, inclusive and youth-friendly regarding sexual health and blood borne virus issues,” she said.

headspace Bunbury community engagement officer Penny McCall said several school nurses and teachers would be attending the event to learn more.

“I’m really excited to go just to make us as inclusive as we can in our service,” she said. For more information visit theyepproject.org.au.
