Marist’s South West Hockey League Men’s side is through to this weekend’s preliminary final following an emphatic result against Associates.
In their semi-final showdown, Marist played favourably and went up 3-0 by half time.
The side put one more away in the second half and went on to nab a 4-0 victory.
Marist will soon face Boyanup, who lost 3-2 to Wests in the other men’s semi-final clash.
Boyanup’s women’s side advanced to the 2018 South West Hockey League Women’s grand final with a win over Robins on Saturday afternoon.
They had the upper-hand early in the game, resulting in star Maddie Fenwick claiming Boyanup’s first goal 10 minutes in.
Boyanup had the opposition on the ropes throughout the clash, going on to win 3-2.
Marist’s women’s team scored a 1-0 win over Collie.
Last week, some of the region’s best young hockey players gathered for the 9/12 grand finals.
Boyanup defeated Exies 1-0 in the 9/12 girls’ final. Phoenix Green has awarded best and fairest for her efforts during the game.
Boyanup’s boys side dished out a 6-0 victory against Associates, before Jack Tosana picked up the boys’ best and fairest award.
The South West Strikers recovered from a 3-1 loss to North Coast Raiders to claim a 1-0 win against Old Aquinians last weekend.
