Doug Crowe six shots clear in Collie Golf Club's stableford competition

His score of 43 points was six shots clear of his nearest rival, runner up Kyle Hulls, who finished with 37 points.

Kim Metcalfe, with 36 points was third on the day while Steven Ireland and Alby Hunter each returned 35 points.

Special mention must be made of Steven Ireland who scored an eagle two on the par 4 second hole.

Jim Moyses, Trevor McCormick and Ron Annandale completed the vouchers with their respective 34-point returns.

DANNY Cheng was a clear winner in last Thursday’s nine-hole scroungers event.

His score of 21 stableford points was three shots better than a trio of players on 18 points.

In the runner up position, on a spin, was Kevin Ireland from Rodney Simmonds and Doug Crowe while Eric Annandale and John Michalak completed the vouchers with a score of 17 points each.

Novelties: Ian Shannon (4), Danny Cheng (6) and David Broadbent (9).

Rounding off a big day for Danny Cheng was his best gross score of 36 shots, making par for nine holes.

JIM Moyses returned to the winners list in last Tuesday’s 18 hole leisure day competition.

He won the event with a score of 39 points, one better than runner up, Ray Alp who finished the day with 38 points.

Kevin Ireland finished third with 37 points, then came Trevor McCormick and Alan Kent, each of these players scoring 33 points.

Claiming the best vet award for his score of 34 points was Steven Ireland.
