Collie Police have charged a 20-year-old Allanson man after he allegedly attempted to evade police last week.

Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar said police had spotted the vehicle exiting the McDonald’s carpark on Throssell Street and ordered it to stop.
However the driver allegedly ignored the order and fled at high speed before he was eventually caught on Steere Street.
A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a small quantity of methamphetamine and smoking implements, while police also found the man didn’t have a driver’s licence.
The man was charged with no authority to drive, failing to stop, possession of a prohibited drug and drug paraphernalia and driving an unlicensed vehicle. He will appear in court next month.
Police are also investigating a number of burglaries that occurred over the past week. Senior Sergeant Soutar said police had received three separate reports of burglaries on September 10, with vacant properties again being targetted.
Sometime in the week prior to September 10, an offender smashed a side window to gain entry to a house on Bucktin Street.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said the offender ransacked the property and took a number of items from the lounge room and bedroom.
He also said an offender had gained entry to a property on Moira Road sometime during the week prior to September 10 by removing a rear window. The property was also ransacked and had a number of items taken.
A property on Rogers Avenue was also broken into with the offender attempting to remove flyscreens before kicking in the back door. A set of car keys was stolen.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said there was a trend of vacant premises being targetted by thieves.
“If you’re going to be away for a period of time, let us know or get a friend or neighbour to keep an eye on your house,” he said.
“Do something to make it look like that there is someone home, whether that is leaving a light or a radio on.”
He also said there were a number of thefts from sheds, particularly ones that were regularly left unlocked.
“We need to make it harder for thieves by making sure nothing is left unlocked,” he said.
He also said marking property was beneficial, with an engraver available at the police station to help make personal items identifiable in the event they are stolen.
Senior Sergeant Soutar said police had responded to a single-vehicle rollover on the Coalfields Highway in the early morning of September 12.
He said the female driver escaped without serious injury but it served as a reminder to drive safely and not to drive while tired.
