South West artists are being encouraged to enter the West Australian Country Music Awards, with entries closing soon.
First established in 1986 as part of the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival, the prestigious awards have developed into a flagship occasion on the WA Country Music Calendar.
The awards celebrate the achievements of WA artists, honouring their talent, work and accomplishments.
There are ten prize categories as well as a People’s Choice award, the event boasts a $8,500 in cash and prizes to be distributed.
It also includes opportunities for winners to perform on mainstage in front of a sizeable festival audience and industry professionals from around the country.
South West artists have been recognised in the past including Jodie Boni, Kate Hindle, Chad Woods.
Winner will be announced on February 15, 2019, at the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival. Submissions close September 30, 2018.
